Contemporary White and Grey Kitchen in Cheadle

A monochromatic theme works well with any individual’s taste. It is a stylish canvas allows you to implement colours and features that reflect your personality. Whether you want a clean-cut effector a shabby chic contemporary kitchen, whites and greys leave room for imagination. When Mr and Mrs R from Cheadle came to us to design them a contemporary kitchen for their semi-detached home, we created just that.

Planning a Contemporary White and Grey Kitchen

We first sat down with the clients to discuss their requirements for this renovation. Mr and Mrs R were after an open plan space that would ensure functionality for the entire family. This involved removing internal walls and ensuring that the entire area has the correct portions for living, dining and cooking.

We then discussed the colour schemes, which at first was hard to determine. When it comes to monochromatic blends, it can sometimes be a challenge to get it right. Each tone and shade can set the entire mood of the room, but we found the perfect combinations in the end. The overall look would be a contemporary, white and grey, handle-less kitchen. It would be finished with quartz work surfaces and vinyl flooring.

Creating Space

Brightness was the key to getting more from this design. With the right blend of sky lighting, glass doors and carefully positioned spotlighting, we were able to brighten the space. This allowed a more open atmosphere, ideal for a room of multiple functions.

The Finished Result

We are extremely proud of this project, and you can see why. The sleek, modern design is bright and welcoming, making it a perfect place for the family. The handle-less units and smooth finishes of the electric hob help to keep a streamlined effect throughout. We love how the monochrome scheme will allow our clients to add their own elements of personality as time passes. Though the design is contemporary, it’s a style that will thrive for many years to come.
