Mr and Mrs M approached EBKB after their builder referred us to them. For their semi-detached house in Cheadle Hulme, they wanted their kitchen to be a blend of contemporary and classic. With two shades of grey throughout the room and pale quartz worktops, we had a design and were ready to get to work!
There were two big objectives with this project. The first was to find a way to add a kitchen island that would still provide the clients with enough space for their dining and living furniture. The second was to figure out how we could hide the washing machine, tumble dryer and boiler. We managed to build a tall, double-door cupboard to ensure the appliances would stay tucked away and designed a slim island that could be used for casual dining and cleaning.
As you can see, we managed to create a stunning shaker style kitchen with quartz worktops that offers classic style with a contemporary flare. The dark greys beneath the island allow it to stand out while offering a bold contrast to the pale greys of the cabinetry. We are certainly proud of this recent project!
